Welcome to Scappoose Family Dentistry

My name is Dr. Susanny Thenus, or you can call me Sunny. It’s been a long road for me to get where I am today and it has been a humbling experience since I started working in the dental field over 17 years ago.

I started my journey to be a dentist in 1993 in Indonesia, and finally finished it in 2013 at OHSU in Portland, OR. I graduated from OSU in 1998 as a Nutritionist, and Portland Community College in 2000 and 2004 as Dental Assistant and Dental Hygienist.

My credentials include IV sedation certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). I am also a member of Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) as well as American Dental Association (ADA), Oregon Dental Association (ODA) and the local dental association chapter. These organizations help me keep up to date with dental advancements and technologies, as well as dental regulations.

I worked with the previous owner of Scappoose Family Dentistry from November 2004 to July 2009 as a Dental Hygienist, before I went to OHSU for Dental School. It has been a privilege to take care of the people here in our community. It was a blessing to be able to come back and serve this community again with the same staff and patients.
